Luna sandals for the desert

Abdel, our Moroccan friend, lives on the very edge of the Sahara Desert on the outskirts of Zagora. His experience of desert running is extensive and he does at times liken it to a Scottish beach. The desert provides miles of unchallenged sand with dunes as high as mountains and running with footwear requires gaiters.

Abdel uses Luna sandals to keep his feet cool and also finds there is no sand build up between the foot and sandal. Dry, arid and dusty conditions where humans find just staying alive can be most inhospitable but made all the more accessible by the correct choice of footwear to keep the feet cool airy and dry.
