Patrick Sweeney

Patrick’s accomplishments are as varied and unique as his personality. A real life Forrest Gump, he recently completed a transcontinental run from his home in Manhattan Beach, CA to Boston, MA running 3,355 miles in 114 days. The run was a benefit for the 100 Mile Club which is a non-profit that encourages school children to run 100 miles over the course of the school year.

Patrick has been a big part of the LUNA team and tribe since 2010. Some of his other unique accomplishments include wins from 5k to 100k, scorching times at 100 miles, he holds a Guinness World Record for distance in soft sand in 24 hours (94 miles), and he also holds a world record for the Beer Half Marathon (google it).

Patrick loves avocados, Stone Ale, homemade vegan pizzas, and long runs on the beach. This summer keep an eye out for him as he travels the Western U.S. living out of a camper trailer and slinging LUNAs at all kinds of different events.
